So, it's 9:20am and I've just finished composing/transposing the sax part of "My Favorite Things" for the tour guide luncheon. It should be cool. I'll practice it this weekend. Along with all of the freaking music for the freaking faculty rock band. Whoever arranged it did a HORRIBLE job. I've played sax since like October and I've taught myself so I'm really not that good and they know this. So they arrange for me to play the lowest notes possible that just won't come out. I can't do it. I spoke with Jeff (one of the music dept. people here) and he said to just play it up an octave because this guy really has no idea what he's doing. Phew. At least it isn't me. Jeff is also still trying to get me to play in the jazz band for their last concert. I told him to bring in the music and I'd take a look at it. I have to ask Libbi if I can go to rehearsal on Tuesday. Carting my sax in is such a PIA. Although, I really do wish I had a group to play with.
Tap class (at Brearley) starts next week. I'll definitely be doing it once a week on Wednesdays. More if Allison will let me. I've gotta remember to bring in my shoes and knee brace. Let's try to keep my feet solid. :)
Other than that, just keepin' on with the keepin' on. No real big plans for the weekend. Just chillin', hanging out with Sarah on Sunday. Going to the gym and doing laundry. All good things. Maybe I'll go see that new Julia Stiles movie.
